Santa Fe is putting out to tender its first police station: a project worth more than $15.8 billion to strengthen security in Garay Park. The government of the province of Santa Fe has opened the bidding process for the construction of the first police station in the capital city. The project will be carried out in Garay Park as part of the Comprehensive Refurbishment Plan for the Police Station System. This project seeks to renovate the police infrastructure and modernize the urban patrol model with a continuous presence and 24-hour response capacity. The project has an official budget of $15,849,995,382 and a completion period of 540 days. It represents a key step in the transformation of Santa Fes public security system. This station will be the first of three planned for the city, as part of a plan aimed at decentralizing and streamlining territorial coverage. During the bidding process, nine companies presented their interest in executing the project. The design of the new building includes operational and logistical spaces that will allow for the coordination of prevention, control, and patrol actions. This represents not only a renovation of the building, but also a paradigm shift in police management, aiming for greater territorial deployment, optimization of resources, and closeness to the public. The evaluation committee will now analyze the technical and financial bids to determine the award. The initiative has provincial budget support and is part of a comprehensive security investment strategy, which also includes the construction of new police stations, monitoring centers, and personnel training. The future Garay Park Police Station will mark a turning point in Santa Fes approach to urban security, reinforcing police presence in a high-traffic area vital to the citys public life.
