On May 7th, the Intersolar Europe exhibition commenced in Munich, Germany, where Sungrow FPV introduced its latest floating solar system, drawing significant attention for its innovative approach to solar technology. The launch showcased the company’s advancements in addressing the evolving needs of the European floating solar market, which has shifted focus from merely verifying technical feasibility to ensuring scalable economic performance and harmony with the environment. Sungrow FPV’s new SGF-TS30M floating system is designed to meet these demands through four key improvements. First, its modular structure and pre-assembled components reduce installation time by 30 percent and simplify the construction process into just six standardized steps. Second, the system has received TÜV certification, confirming its ability to withstand snow loads of 2.3kN/m² and assuring a 25-year operational life. The use of eco-certified floating materials further supports environmental sustainability. Third, the system is highly adaptable, supporting various module sizes up to 2465 mm in length and 1303 mm in width. Its flexible layout options and tilt angle adjustability from 5 to 15 degrees make it suitable for a wide range of solar conditions. Lastly, the optimized system layout increases installed capacity by 10 to 15 percent per unit area, and includes a 0.58-meter-wide maintenance walkway—the widest in the industry—for safer access and easier maintenance. Pre-designed wiring diagrams also contribute to operational simplicity. During the exhibition, Dr. Wiep Folkerts from the Netherlands’ National Institute for Energy Research praised Sungrow FPV’s technological leadership in his keynote speech, noting its importance in driving the global floating solar industry forward. Looking ahead, Sungrow Floating Solar reaffirmed its commitment to customer-oriented innovation and the continuous delivery of high-quality solutions for the expanding floating solar applications sector. |
