Clearway Energy has completed its acquisition of the 137 MW Tuolumne Wind Project, located in Klickitat County, Washington, USA. The wind farm generates enough electricity to supply over 44,000 households annually. Following the acquisition, Clearway will contribute approximately US$ 1.3 million each year in sales and property taxes to Klickitat County, supporting local schools, hospitals, and other public services. The project will sell electricity under an amended power purchase agreement with Turlock Irrigation District, with an initial 15-year term. The agreement includes the option for future repowering, potentially extending the projects lifespan through turbine upgrades. This acquisition represents a US$ 60 million investment in Washington State, where Clearway already operates the 160 MW Rattlesnake Flat wind farm in Adams County. |
