The Ministry of Public Works and Services announced the opening of bids for the expansion of the natural gas network in the town of San Javier. The tender will take place on Tuesday, February 5, and has an official budget of $3,117,685, financed by the provincial government. The project involves the installation of 1,450 meters of polyethylene pipes of various diameters, intended to extend and reinforce natural gas service to 83 social housing developments. The work is scheduled to be completed within 60 calendar days from the start of construction. The project includes not only the installation of pipelines, but also the provision of materials, transportation, insurance, operational testing, and technical trials. The contract also covers the complete installation and specialized labor required to ensure the operational readiness of the new section of the network. This expansion is part of a broader basic infrastructure development plan being promoted by the province, with the goal of providing access to essential services such as natural gas in socially subdivided areas, small towns, and rural areas. The initiative will not only improve the quality of life of the beneficiaries, but also represents a key advance in terms of energy inclusion for areas with limited coverage.
