Work Detail Union Minister Nitin Gadkari is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for a series of road development projects in Telangana, totaling ?5,416 crore, on May 5th, according to state BJP chief G. Kishan Reddy. Gadkaris visit will include two events, one in Kagaznagar town and another in Hyderabad, where he will launch projects aimed at improving the states road infrastructure. Kishan Reddy, who also serves as the Union Minister for Coal and Mines, announced in a press release that Gadkari will inaugurate road projects worth ?4,590 crore and lay the foundation for national highway projects valued at ?826 crore. Notably, the inauguration will include the ?330 crore, 1.47-kilometer flyover in Amberpet, Hyderabad. In a post on X, Kishan Reddy highlighted the significance of the Amberpet flyover, stating that it will enhance road connectivity and ensure a smoother commute for citizens of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. He further emphasized that the flyover, now fully open to the public, is expected to significantly reduce traffic congestion and improve overall travel efficiency. Separately, Kishan Reddy addressed the ongoing discussion regarding caste data in Telangana. He clarified that the states Congress government has conducted a caste survey, not a caste census, and asserted that a caste census should be carried out in accordance with constitutional and legal provisions. He also stated that the Central government will conduct caste enumeration as part of its census exercise, adhering to legal norms.
