KP Energy Limited has placed a significant order for 20 units of Senvion Indias latest 4.2WM M160 wind turbine generators, part of the advanced 4XM platform. These high-efficiency turbines are slated for installation in a hybrid power project being developed for a key customer in the Bharuch district of Gujarat, with deliveries expected in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2025-26. The comprehensive agreement between KP Energy and Senvion India encompasses not only the supply and supervision of the wind turbines but also a long-term operations and maintenance contract. This ensures the sustained efficiency and reliability of the wind power assets over their operational lifespan. This project marks an early commercial deployment of Senvions flagship 4.2M160 model – the companys largest and most technologically advanced wind turbine to date. Specifically optimized for low wind conditions and engineered to suit the diverse terrains across India, this turbine features an impressive 160-meter rotor diameter and can be installed with hub heights of up to 140 meters. Its design prioritizes maximizing energy output while ensuring long-term operational durability. Dr. Faruk G.
