Work Detail With the goal of improving connectivity in San Francisco, the project to pave Provincial Route 7S, a nearly 20-kilometer stretch to Venado Tuerto, was officially presented. The project will be financed through the improvement contribution system, combining contributions from the provincial government, the municipalities of San Francisco and Venado Tuerto, and a group of 602 agricultural producers. The estimated budget for the project is 20.91 billion pesos, with a construction period of 18 months. The financing scheme establishes that 70% will be contributed by the Province, 12% by the municipalities, and the remaining 18% by the beneficiary producers, in accordance with Law 14,295, recently amended to facilitate this type of public-private partnership in road works. Local authorities emphasized the strategic nature of the project, opting for paving Route 7S despite its greater length and cost compared to other alternatives. This seeks to create a stronger connection and future regional integration toward Cafferata and the province of Córdoba. The new legislation allows for adjusting private contributions based on the distance to the project, recognizing the diminishing benefits for more remote properties. Furthermore, this model can be replicated in other towns in Santa Fe that do not yet have paved access. The project is now in the presentation stage for producers, a necessary step toward moving toward the call for bids and the actual start of work.
