The Santa Fe government awarded a contract for the comprehensive remodeling of the central median strip of Aristóbulo del Valle Avenue, extending from Galicia Avenue to Gorriti Avenue, in the capital city. This is a strategic intervention on one of the main urban corridors, which forms part of Provincial Route No. 2 and connects important neighborhoods along the north-south axis. The project was awarded to Coemyc SA for a total of $2,383,084,718 and will have a completion period of 360 days, in addition to one year of maintenance. The project, part of the Capital Agreement between the Province and the Municipality of Santa Fe, includes multiple improvements to the public space. A bicycle lane and an accessible pedestrian path will be built, general and ornamental lighting will be installed, and the area will be fully landscaped with landscaping and urban amenities. The design also incorporates benches, baskets, protective bollards, bicycle parking stations, and tactile paths, promoting recreational use and community ownership of the space. In addition to the aesthetic and functional improvements, hydraulic works will be carried out to improve the areas stormwater drainage. These works include intakes and pipelines that allow for efficient discharge to higher-level receiving bodies, thereby mitigating flooding problems on rainy days. According to the Provincial Directorate of Architecture and Engineering, Coemycs proposal was 17.31% lower than the updated official budget, which amounted to $2,882,038,881, positioning itself as the most favorable option for the interests of the provincial government. This renovation is part of a set of five priority projects planned in the Capital Agreement , which also includes the paving of Peñaloza and Larrea avenues, the restoration of the central curb of Juan José Paso Avenue, and the upcoming bidding process for the renovation of Siete Jefes Avenue. Together, these projects seek to modernize urban infrastructure and strengthen the connectivity, safety, and quality of public spaces in Santa Fe.
