Work Detail The Austrian manufacturer claims its new hybrid inverters can increase the usable power of a photovoltaic system by up to 150%. They are available in six versions with nominal power ranging from 15 kW to 33.3 kW. Austrian inverter manufacturer Fronius has introduced a new hybrid inverter solution for residential and commercial applications. “Developed for farms, small businesses, and large single- and multi-family homes, the Fronius Verto Plus inverter offers maximum planning freedom,” the company says in a statement. “Systems with complex roof structures, different module orientations and inclinations, or even combinations of different module types can be easily implemented.” The new product is available in six versions with rated power outputs of 15 kW, 17.5 kW, 20 kW, 25 kW, 29.9 kW, and 33.3 kW, respectively. All systems measure 865 mm x 574 mm x 279 mm, weigh 43 kg, and have a maximum power output of 30 kW. IP-66 rated inverters offer a DC voltage range of 150-1000V and a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) usable voltage range of 150-807V. Their nominal input voltage is 600V and the starting input voltage is 150V. The new inverters feature three maximum power point tracking (MPPT) inputs and two DC connections per MPPT. The systems can also operate in temperatures from -25°C to 60°C and include regulated air cooling and automatic arc flash detection (AFCI). When combined with a storage system, the Fronius Verto Plus inverter provides a powerful, complete three-phase emergency power supply for the entire building, says Fronius. Its Enhanced Power Harvest system increases the useful power of the PV system by up to 150%. Intelligent shading management with Dynamic Peak Manager ensures optimal performance even with partial shading. Neither the maximum efficiency values ??of the new product nor the European efficiency were revealed by Fronius. “With the Fronius Verto Plus inverter, our customers are consciously opting for Austrian quality. In addition to a high-quality, high-performance inverter, this also includes responsible and careful data handling,” explains Harald Scherleitner, CSO and member of the Fronius Executive Board. “We adhere to the highest security standards and store all customer and system data separately and exclusively on European servers. At Fronius, enhanced security measures, an ISO 27001-certified information security system, and regular security audits are an integral part of our philosophy.”
