TKF has signed a contract with Luxcara to supply inter-array cables for the Waterkant offshore wind park, located around 90 kilometres north of Borkum Island in the German North Sea. The contract covers the engineering, manufacturing, testing, and delivery of 66kV aluminium core inter-array cables and associated accessories, totalling approximately 130 kilometres in length. The Waterkant offshore wind park will be situated in the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of the German North Sea and is planned to reach an installed capacity of up to 296 MW. Installation is scheduled for 2027–2028. Cable production will take place at TKF’s facility in Eemshaven, the Netherlands. |
