The Neuquén provincial government is moving forward with the bidding process for a new sewage treatment plant that will benefit the towns of Cut and Cutral Co and Plaza Huincul . The project, which represents one of the largest investments in sanitation infrastructure for the region, has an official budget of $ 10.165 billion and a completion period of 540 calendar days . During the envelope opening ceremony , held in Cutral Co. The project includes the comprehensive construction of a sewage treatment plant , incorporating state-of-the-art technology and complying with current environmental regulations . This new infrastructure will increase the sanitation capacity of both cities , in a context of population growth and increasing demand for basic services. The initiative is part of a historic public works investment plan, which , according to statements by Governor Rolando Figueroa , plans to execute up to $ 1 billion by 2025. In this framework, the governor highlighted coordination with municipalities as a central axis for the development of projects that improve the quality of life throughout the province. From the municipalities, both Ramón Rioseco (Cutral Co) and Claudio Larraza (Plaza Huincul) agreed in describing the work as “strategic” and “ long awaited ” , highlighting that although it is an invisible infrastructure , its impact will be direct in terms of public health , environmental sustainability and operational capacity of the regional sewage system.
