This will also mark the debut of Canadian Solar’s innovative anti-hail technology in Australia. The project, set to be completed in 2025, is located in Coonawarra, South Australia, and will combine solar power generation with a battery energy storage system (BESS), representing a major step forward in Australia’s renewable energy development. Canadian Solar’s anti-hail technology, developed through rigorous testing, provides enhanced protection for solar panels against extreme weather conditions, including hailstorms. This breakthrough innovation underscores the company’s commitment to offering durable, high-performance renewable energy solutions that can withstand even the harshest environments. Located in the renowned Coonawarra wine region, this new solar farm will be paired with a DC-coupled BESS.
