Work Detail The Municipality of Gualeguaychú, through the Undersecretariat of Public Works, has launched a neighborhood consortium program aimed at facilitating the execution of infrastructure projects through the active participation of residents. This initiative seeks to improve the quality of life in the neighborhoods and optimize the citys urban development. The mechanism allows residents to organize into consortiums to coordinate with the municipality on projects such as street paving, curb and gutter construction, and other public service improvements. According to Public Works officials, the initiative promotes sustainable development and collaboration between citizens and local government. Procedure for the formation of a neighborhood consortium Neighbors interested in forming a consortium should follow these steps: Initial application : Submit a note to the municipal reception desk, addressed to the Undersecretariat of Public Works, requesting the technical feasibility of the project and the list of required materials, specifying the streets to be worked on. Feasibility Analysis : The Undersecretariat will evaluate the projects viability. If approved, the file will be forwarded to the Consortium Department, which will notify interested residents. Consortium formation : A meeting will be held with the residents to formalize the organization through an official document. The Executive Branch will then issue a decree establishing the consortium. Provision of materials : Residents must submit documentation proving the acquisition of the necessary materials. Once the required percentage is reached, the project will be incorporated into the municipal construction schedule. Additional information For more details, interested parties can contact the Consortium Department, located at Urquiza 2300 (entrance on Pochat Street), Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., or call 03446 15322896. This model of citizen participation represents a joint commitment to the equitable development of the city, promoting cooperation between residents and local government to improve the urban environment.
