Adani Group, known for its strategic internal leadership transitions, has announced a significant change in its leadership structure as part of its ongoing growth and development plans. As of 31st March 2025, Mr. Amit Singh, the current CEO of Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), will step down from his position to take on a new role as the CEO of the International Energy Business of the Adani Group. This transition marks a key move for the group as it seeks to expand its international presence and strengthen its leadership for growth in international markets, particularly in regions like the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), where growth opportunities are substantial. Mr. Ashish Khanna, who is currently serving as the CEO of the International Energy Business, has been appointed as the new CEO of AGEL, effective 1st April 2025. Mr. Khanna brings over 30 years of expertise in renewables, infrastructure, and project management, with experience working both in India and abroad. His leadership will be instrumental in continuing AGEL’s growth as a leading player in the renewable energy sector. Mr. Singh, a recognized energy industry strategist, has a vast global footprint, having worked in over a dozen countries. He has held various leadership roles, including Managing Director and Country Chair for Qatar, as well as Director of Corporate Strategy & Marketing, Digital and Integration division, at SLB (formerly Schlumberger). Under his leadership, Adani Group has been focusing on expanding its business into international territories, and his experience will be crucial for driving the group’s goals in the international energy market. |
