954 people have already made inquiries for the repair of their sidewalks through the municipal Shared Effort program. 15 days after the presentation of the 2025 Sidewalk Plan, more than half of the inquiries have already confirmed the procedure to carry out the work. The Municipality of Rosario launched its Sidewalk Plan for 2025 15 days ago, although it is only just being implemented at the end of this year. Since its presentation, 954 Rosario residents have already inquired about the Shared Effort program on the MuniBot. Approximately half of these interested parties have already started their process for the interventions and improvements to the sidewalks, which are planned for the end of the month and the beginning of next year. The Municipality is responsible for 50% of the cost and the total management of the work. The new material that will be used outside the center, scraped concrete, ensures greater durability and lower costs. On December 4, Mayor Pablo Javkin presented his Sidewalk Plan at the former customs building, which is already being implemented and will take up most of the year 2025. Among the new developments, he announced that new scraped concrete sidewalks will begin to be built for the downtown area and that service companies, construction companies and large stores that have them in poor condition will be warned. The new features of the Shared Effort program were also presented at that time, a space where the citys residents and the municipal government can carry out the reconstruction of the sidewalks sharing the costs. According to Ordinance No. 10561/2, Every owner of a vacant lot or a building facing the public road is obliged to build and maintain in good condition, in all its front, the sidewalk and the sector designated for absorbent soil..., except when it has been damaged by service companies or construction works (Ordinance No. 4955). However, the executive is very interested in the citys sidewalks being in good condition and created this program that gives greater accessibility to the neighbor to carry out their civil work. In the past two weeks, through MuniBot, the municipal chatbot (+54 9 3415 44-0147 on WhatsApp), 954 queries were registered on how to participate in the Shared Effort program. Of that total, 484 procedures, almost 50%, have already been submitted. It can be found in the main menu of Munibot under the option “I want to fix my sidewalk.” The changes to the programme are substantial. Rosario residents can register without having to buy materials or manage the work, which will allow for more financing and savings. Within this framework of interventions, 14,100 m² will be built during 2025. MuniBot receives 35 thousand conversations per month and includes the possibility of recording, in addition to the registration for Shared Effort, complaints of broken curbs, problems with ramps for the disabled or starting the process of requesting new ramps. Potholes or broken streets can also be complained about. It has the benefit of entering images and sending geolocation. The possibility of following the status of the complaint has also been incorporated. |
