Italian offshore engineering and construction company Saipem has secured a contract to provide supervision and subsea intervention services for GreenStream’s Libya-Italy Pipeline. The contract’s activities will be managed by Sonsub, Saipem’s centre of excellence for robotics, underwater technologies and services. The pipeline connects the Mellitah terminal in Libya to Gela in Italy. This new agreement with GreenStream, a midstream company in the Mediterranean Sea, extends the two operators’ relationship, which has been ongoing since 2008. This encompassed asset integrity, inspection, maintenance and emergency services, and has broadened in scope to meet a wider range of customer needs. The contract’s activities will be managed by Sonsub, Saipem’s centre of excellence for robotics, underwater technologies and services. It will be coordinated with the Saipem Engineering Hub in Fano, Italy.
