Jones Power has been chosen by Babcock & Wilcox Solar Energy, Inc. (B&W Solar) to handle the civil construction for two 25-megawatt utility-scale solar projects in Western Pennsylvania. Construction began in March 2024 and is expected to be completed by summer 2024.
The scope of work for Jones Power includes erosion control, clearing, grubbing, constructing entrances, installing culverts, earthwork, creating stone access roads, stone laydown yards, final seeding, and post-civil site maintenance. Additionally, B&W Solar may opt for Jones Power to keep a post-civil site maintenance crew on-site throughout the pile driving, racking, module installation, electrical work, and commissioning. This crew would provide support services such as maintaining roads, erosion control, dust control, and mowing until the project’s successful completion.
Jones Power has been recognized as an industry leader due to its Power Forward apprenticeship program, adherence to prevailing wage standards, and thorough project documentation process requirements.
