Canada consulting engineer Stantec has acquired UK rival Hydrock for an undisclosed sum.
The deal will boost Stantec’s UK workforce by over 30% and increase its capacity in the building and civil engineering sectors.
Hydrock, founded in Bristol in 1995, is a 950-person company with 22 offices. It focuses on civil, structural and MEP engineering, and works in the transport, energy, environmental and geotechnical sectors.

So far in 2024, Stantec has acquired German engineer Zetcon and Canadian professional services firm Morrison Hershfield. It now has 30,000 employees working in 450 offices. |
