US-based Chouest Group has acquired ROV services provider ROVOP. With this acquisition, the company alongside its subsea service company, C-Innovation, will control a fleet of over 100 ROVs and 6 autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs).
The US firm said that bringing ROVOP under the company’s umbrella not only expands its service offerings but also provides ROVOP with support and capabilities of other Chouest companies, including its vessel-based operations, Caltex Oil Tools, Bram Offshore, and C-Innovation.
Before the acquisition, ROVOP was backed by specialist energy private equity firm Bluewater. Financial details of the deal were not revealed.

The integration of ROVOP into Chouest’s operations will begin immediately, with full integration expected to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency across all entities involved.
