Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL) has issued a tender inviting bids for the Balance of System Package for a 500 MW solar PV project. This project is a part of a larger 2375 MW Renewable Energy Park situated near the village of Khavda in the Great Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. GIPCL aims to select an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor through a competitive bidding process. The appointed contractor will be responsible for the design, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, supply, transportation, and installation of the solar plant, excluding the supply of solar PV modules, which GIPCL will provide.
The scope of work also includes comprehensive operations and maintenance for three years post-commissioning. Interested parties can submit their queries until May 15, 2024, with a pre-bid meeting scheduled online via MS Teams on May 16, 2024, at 11:30 hrs. The deadline for online tender submissions is June 13, 2024, by 17:00 hrs on the n-procure portal, and physical bid submissions are due by June 14, 2024, at GIPCL’s corporate office in Ranoli, Vadodara.
The tender requires a non-refundable fee of ?29,500 and an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ?5 crore, with a validity of 120 days from the bid submission date. Additionally, the contractor must furnish a Security Deposit cum Performance Bank Guarantee amounting to 10% of the EPC contract price within a month of receiving the Letter of Intent (LoI). This guarantee must remain valid for 31 months post-LoI issuance or until the successful completion of the performance guarantee test, with an option to extend for three additional months if necessary. The commissioning of the 500 MW project is scheduled 16 months post-LoI issuance, with operational acceptance tests set to follow within 30 days of commissioning. |
