Work Detail New US$724 million bridge projects are planned for Ho Chi Minh City New bridge projects costing around US$724 million are planned for Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) in Vietnam. The Can Gio Bridge will be part of a new 7.3km link between Can Gio District and Nha Be District and will replace the existing Binh Khanh Ferry. The project will be handled under the PPP format, with the cable-stayed bridge featuring three lanes in either direction. The planned Thu Thiem 4 Bridge will also feature a cable-stayed design. Other planned projects for HCMC include developing Than Da embankment in Bin Thanh District and improvements for Do Xuan Hop Street and Vinh Loc Street. Meanwhile, a new 60km expressway will connect Huu Nghi and Chi Lang Border Gates in Lang Son Province. Costing an estimated $469 million, the route will connect Lang Son City with Van Lang District, Cao Loc District and Chi Lang District. The construction work will be carried out by a consortium that includes Deo Ca Construction, Deo Ca, 568 Project Construction, and LIZEN and should be complete during 2026. The contract will be operated under the build-operate-transfer model. In addition, a new 29km road stretch is planned to link Chu market in Thai Nguyen Province and Trung Son Intersection in Tuyen Quang Province. The project is expected to cost close to $71 million. The new road will run between Chu market in Dinh Hoa District and the Trung Son intersection with National Highway 2C.
