In a momentous occasion, U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm, along with U.S. Senators Martin Heinrich and Ben Ray Luján, Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller, and Bernalillo County Commission Chair Barbara Baca, joined Array Technologies in announcing the groundbreaking of a new $50+ million manufacturing campus in Bernalillo County, New Mexico. This development underscores Array’s commitment to fostering job growth and strengthening the domestic supply chain in the clean energy sector.
Kevin G. Hostetler, CEO of Array Technologies, expressed confidence in the project’s ability to create high-paying jobs, enhance the solar supply chain, and contribute to American energy independence. The expansion aligns with Array’s long-standing commitment to sustainability and its dedication to the local community.
Array Technologies, a leader in utility-scale solar tracking technology, has been a cornerstone of American solar manufacturing for over 30 years. The decision to expand operations in Albuquerque reflects the company’s commitment to innovation and community engagement.
The project, made possible in part by the Inflation Reduction Act, will see the creation of over 300 manufacturing jobs in the near term. With support from various government entities, including tax credits and economic assistance, the new 216,000-square-foot campus will facilitate the production, assembly, design, engineering, and customer service of solar tracking technology.
U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) hailed the project as a testament to New Mexico’s manufacturing renaissance, driven by legislation like the Inflation Reduction Act. Similarly, U.S. Senator Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) emphasized the role of federal policies in spurring economic growth and innovation in clean energy.
