Alternative Energy Projects Company Jordan (AEPCo Jordan), a member of Kuwait’s KIPCO Group, has joined forces with Jordan-based development, contracting, and investment firm Green Sources Investments (GSI) to establish a collaborative initiative named Green Sources Investment for Alternative Energy Projects (GSIAEP).
The primary objective of this strategic partnership is to serve as a platform for the development of commercial and industrial solar projects within the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. With Jordan’s solar market ranking as one of the most established and mature in the MENA region, the focus has shifted towards supporting commercial and industrial sectors in trimming operational costs, slashing carbon footprints, and bolstering competitiveness.
Dr. Hassan Qasem, CEO of AEPCo, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “Our partnership with Green Sources Investments underscores our enduring commitment to Jordan’s solar market. We are eager to devise a strategy to collaborate with reputable local developers who possess a robust presence and extensive experience in Jordan.”
Echoing Dr. Qasem’s sentiments, Engineer Maher Farraj, CEO of GSI, highlighted the significance of the partnership, saying, “We are delighted to establish this partnership with AEPCo and leverage our substantial expertise in solar project development, finance, execution, and asset management.
