Work Detail Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) Invites Bids for 25 MW Solar Project with 20 MW/50 MWh Battery Storage in Ladakh. The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued an invitation for bids encompassing the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and operation and maintenance (O&M) of a 25 MW solar power project, coupled with a 20 MW/50 MWh battery energy storage system at Taru, Leh, UT of Ladakh, India. The deadline for bid submissions is May 13, 2025, with bids being opened on the same day. Bidders must pay ?25,000 for tender processing. Bidders must provide an earnest payment of ?7.41 crore. SECI encourages bidders to conduct site visits to evaluate current conditions and review plans/drawings pertaining to the specified scope of work, including the power evacuation system and capacities for ground-mounted projects. Financing for the project is intended to be sourced through domestic funding and SECI’s own resources. Only modules listed in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List for Models and Manufacturers are permissible for use in the project. For Crystalline Silicon Technology, the entire manufacturing process, from wafer production to module assembly, must occur at facilities of PV Manufacturers in India, adhering to all necessary steps and quality checks. Bidders may qualify through one of two routes. Bidders must exhibit engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) or development experience managing turnkey ground-mounted solar project execution for Route I. This entails the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of grid-connected solar power projects with a cumulative capacity of at least 12.5 MW over the past seven financial years, with satisfactory operation for a minimum of six months before the bid submission deadline. Alternatively, Route II requires bidders to exhibit experience in EPC execution or development of turnkey ground-mounted solar projects, including the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of at least two grid-connected solar power projects, each with an individual capacity of 2.5 MW or more, over the past seven financial years, again with satisfactory operation for a minimum of six months before the bid submission deadline. To support the requirements, bidders must provide scanned copies of the Commissioning certificate and pertinent contractual agreements from the Client (or Owner), as well as a list of projects that were commissioned at least six months before the deadline for bid submission, indicating whether they are grid-connected. Furthermore, Applicants must have a minimum annual turnover of ?148 crore for the last three fiscal years (FY 2020-21, 2021-22, and 2022-23). Bidders should have a minimum working capital of ?62 crore.
