Sharika Enterprises Limited (SEL), a prominent leader in consultancy and project management solutions for power transmission and distribution, has achieved empanelment as a System Integrator for all networking and communication projects valued at or above INR 10 crore by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL).
PGCIL, a distinguished Schedule ‘A’, ‘Maharatna’ Public Sector Enterprise under the Government of India, operates extensively across the nation, managing 90% of the country’s interstate and inter-regional electric power transmission system. Notably, PGCIL’s subsidiary, POWERGRID Teleservices Limited, holds the distinction of being the sole Telecom Service Provider in India with a pan India overhead Optic fiber network exceeding 1,00,000 km.
The empanelment marks a significant milestone for Sharika, opening doors to new opportunities. Anticipating the growth of IoT and Smart Infrastructure projects, Sharika recognized early on the critical role of communication and networking technology in future advancements, establishing dedicated practices in this domain. The company has delivered noteworthy projects, including the Radio and Fibre network for Thimphu City, Bhutan, and the design and engineering consultancy for a 3000 km fibre network for BRPL (BSES Rajdhani Power Limited, New Delhi), catering to diverse communication and networking needs.
