The work includes the expansion and renovation of the Labruna Bridge with the aim of improving connectivity between the Innovation Park and the University City. New lanes for cars and bicycles will be built, as well as wider and safer collector streets and pedestrian crossings.
From the Ministry of Infrastructure of the GCBA, headed by Pablo Bereciartúa, a new work will be carried out that will improve mobility around the Labruna Bridge and will allow safer connections by car, bicycle and on foot between the Parque de Innovation and the Monumental stadium of River Plate with the Ciudad Universitaria and other sports clubs. In this way, more than 350 thousand neighbors will benefit.
«With this bridge we are going to improve integration between neighborhoods, thinking about the City with a strategic vision for the coming years. We want students, neighbors and workers to be able to move in a more orderly, agile and safe way. In addition, we are contemplating an exclusive bridge for pedestrians and cyclists to continue working on sustainable mobility in Buenos Aires," said Pablo Bereciartúa, Minister of Infrastructure of the City.
Render new bridge of innovation.
The project consists of the retrofitting of the Labruna Bridge through the incorporation of new vehicular entry and exit branches for Lugones and Cantilo avenues, and a pedestrian walkway of dimensions in accordance with the new pedestrian and cyclist demand. The segmentation of the lanes of each of the road actors increases road safety. With a budget of 18 million dollars, the work will last 24 months and its inauguration is estimated for mid-2026. The execution of the project will be carried out by the company AUSA (Autopistas Urbanas SA).
The work will improve connectivity in the area, where there are spaces of interest in the City: the Antonio Vespucio Liberti stadium (Club Atlético River Plate), the Club Ciudad de Buenos Aires, the Torcuato Di Tella University, the National Center of Alto Sports Performance (CeNARD), the Ciudad Universitaria station of the Belgrano Norte Railway Station, the graduate center of the Liceo Naval, the Buenos Aires University Club (CUBA), the Ciudad Universitaria, the Northern Ecological Reserve and the Parque de la Memoria. |
