The Yerawada Metro Station in Pune, Maharashtra is set to be operational by May, 2024 as per the statement given by the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS). The work on entry and exit points of this station is on the verge of completion, and by April-end, the points will be revised, and proper finishing will be done.
A Maha Metro official informed that the construction will be completed by the end of this month. Post this, the CMRS team will be invited for verification and approval in May. After it receives a go-ahead from the CMRS authorities, the metro station will be opened for public use to ensure that safety protocol is maintained and all the procedures are followed correctly.
Earlier, the local residents of Yerawada had found the work to be faulty and raised a complaint at the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). PMC suggested the reconstruction of the entry and exit points of the Metro station.
Besides, the Maha Metro further requested the Pune Railway Authorities for the allowance of constructing a ticket kiosk at the entrance of platform no. one. |
