Governor Gustavo Sáenz yesterday led a new meeting of the provincial cabinet in which lines of action were defined for the short and medium term in light of the adjustment that the national government continues to promote. According to the provincial Executive, all decisions will be measures to support local work, production, and social containment, especially in the reactivation of public works.
Within the framework of these decisions, the government of Salta submitted a bill to the Legislature to request a loan that would allow the debt to be rescheduled. The authorization of a credit of 40 billion pesos is sought to meet the maturity of next June 1 on the debt of the Bicentennial Fund.
After the cabinet meeting, the Minister of Government, Human Rights and Labor, Ricardo Villada, pointed out that based on the decisions of Javier Mileis government, the province had a decrease of almost 100,000 million pesos from January to March. “This obviously raises the need to adopt a series of measures in relation to the areas of health, public works, housing; the situation of merchants, industrialists, producers,” he expressed.
In this framework, he assured that the governor set a series of priorities to follow in the face of the adjustment. The Minister of Economy and Public Services, Roberto Dib Ashur, said that the package of measures to support work in Salta includes the reactivation of some public works such as the El Limón dam, which is located on the banks of the Itiyuro River, in the municipality of Salvador Mazza (San Martín department) and is an important source of water and natural resources.
He also announced that other works will begin to be carried out, such as the one that will be done on provincial route 27. The Minister of Economy maintained that the paralysis of various works throughout the provincial territory due to the lack of sending national funds left about 6 thousand Salteños without work, so it is expected to generate a reactivation in employment with the implementation of such projects.
He also said that progress is being made in the possibility of providing soft loans for the purchase of inputs and merchandise, a tax moratorium and the freezing of electricity rate values. Thus, when rethinking the local scenario to face the situation, the government of Salta formulated lines of support for Salta companies, commerce, production, livestock, wine and construction sectors.
Regarding the area of ??education, they announced that the Provincial University of Administration, Technology and Trades (Upateco) will have five new University Techniques in Rosario de Lerma and Rosario de la Frontera.
