Work Detail It has a self-powered system, equipped with a dedicated panel and a long-lasting battery, for which Soltec guarantees up to four days of autonomous operation without sunlight. The Spanish solar tracker manufacturer Soltec announces the launch of the new SFOneX, a double-row system with a length of 125 meters, the longest in its range. It can be used in various types of projects and, according to the manufacturer, it reduces “the need for civil works to a minimum thanks to its adaptability to the terrain.” He adds that it adjusts to the natural contours, and adapts to slopes of 15% north-south and east-west, which “ensures maximum use of the land and simplifies the installation process through direct driving.” It has a self-powered system, equipped with a dedicated panel and a long-lasting battery, for which Soltec guarantees up to four days of autonomous operation without sunlight. The double rows are connected by a flexible driveshaft, which Soltec claims reduces the number of motors and tracking controllers by up to half. The manufacturer also highlights its economic efficiency, since "with a reduced number of piles, pre-assembled sets and standardized components, the SFOneX reduces both civil works and installation costs, as well as operating and maintenance costs in the long term." Like all Soltec solar trackers, it has the TeamTrack system adapted to maximize energy capture that prevents shading between rows. Soltec points out that, in the case of bifacial tracking, this algorithm manages to level the production between diffuse and direct radiation “to always achieve the maximum possible performance. Furthermore, through the Diffuse Booster algorithm, equipped with a system of advanced sensors and weather forecasting, it allows production to be maximized even on cloudy days,” he explains. On the other hand, it also has Dy-WIND technology, developed jointly by Soltec and the Canadian engineering firm RWDI, which protects the plant in the event of weather conditions with strong winds. In addition, it has a hail protection algorithm, an early detection defense system. Raúl Morales, CEO of Soltec, highlights the suitability for the US market of the new tracker "thanks to its adaptability in the use of terrain, its length and its self-powered system, as well as its economic efficiency in its installation."
