Work Detail The Ministry of Energy has approved a resolution that promotes mechanisms that facilitate the operation and provision of service to users at charging stations for electric and hybrid vehicles. The Colombian Ministry of Energy (Minergía) has announced the approval of Resolution 40,123 of 2024, the entry into force of which allows users to charge their electric and hybrid vehicles at different charging stations nationwide, without any restrictions. its access and subsequent payment. The approved resolution states that supply stations will have the obligation to inform “clearly and in advance to users the prices of charging, parking and other associated costs, displaying these details in a disaggregated and visible manner.” It is added that the initiative “allows progress in the development of the CargaME platform, a Minenergia geographic information system, which will enable service providers and charging point operators to report information about the stations, including details such as location, capacity, rates, communication protocols, among others.” This service, it is explained, will allow you to consult the location of the charging points, the types of connectors, schedules and contact information, among other aspects. From the Government, it is ensured that this measure promotes energy efficiency, decarbonization of the transport sector, reduces the consumption of fossil fuels and encourages the strategic deployment of cargo infrastructure in Colombia.
