Work Detail The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) has invited third parties to participate in the selection process for the construction of the new Gustavo Rojas Pinilla airport in San Andrés, Colombia. The project involves upgrading and enlarging the existing terminal to 13,500 m2 and constructing 3,516 m2 of commercial areas in a new passenger and cargo terminal. It also includes rebuilding structures for airport medical and fire services and implementing urban planning initiatives centered around Raizal customs and culture. With planned expansions and improvements to counters, security filters, and boarding areas, the capacity to accommodate 2.8 million passengers annually will be achieved. This project is expected to attract increased frequencies from current airlines and potentially new operators. Importantly, airport operations will continue uninterrupted during the planned interventions. This private initiative will have an investment that exceeds COP1.01 trillion (US$266.2 million) and will be concessioned for 30 years. It is expected that, if a third interested party does not present itself, it will be awarded in July, if other interested parties present themselves, it will be awarded at the end of 2024 through a selection process. Interested parties have until July 12, 2024, to apply and compete for involvement in this airport initiative.
