Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) has announced the commissioning of the project under Transmission System for evacuation of power from 2X500 MW Neyveli Lignite TS-1 (Replacement) (NNTPS) in Neyveli, Tamil Nadu.
The notification for commercial operation has been received on 10 April, 2024.
The Neyveli New lignite-fired thermal power project is located in the Mudanai village, approx. four km away from the Neyveli industrial town in Cuddalore district. The Neyveli New thermal power station comprises two lignite-fired, sub-critical units of 500 MW capacity each. |
