Work Detail The three companies that had participated in the tender for the compressor plants were admitted. Esuco and Víctor Contreras had the lowest economic offers. Energía Argentina (Enarsa) opened the envelopes of economic offers to award the works intended to modify the operation of four compressor plants of the Reversion of the Northern Gasduct. The three companies that had presented themselves, Contreras Hermanos, Esuco and Víctor Contreras, passed the technical evaluation. Esuco has the lowest offer. The opening of envelopes corresponds to tender 02/2024 for "Detail engineering, supplies and construction of the project: Reversal of the Northern Gas Pipeline (Compressor Plants)". It corresponds to the modifications necessary for the bidirectional operation of four plants: Ferreyra and Dean Funes in Córdoba, Lavalle in Santiago del Estero and Lumbreras, in Salta. The first open envelope was that of Esuco, a construction company from Santa Cruz that was awarded the Mercedes Cardales and Salliqueló compressor plants, for the Néstor Kirchner Gasduct. The firm presented an economic proposal of 22,350,447,347.99 pesos plus VAT and was positioned as the lowest, which could determine its award. The second envelope that was opened was that of Contreras Hermanos, which offered the works on the compressor plants for 71,731,287,945.74 pesos plus VAT. This was the highest bid. The third envelope corresponds to Víctor Contreras SA, which offered 23,921,919,356.17 pesos plus VAT. The firm presented a special discount note of 3.95%, which brings the proposal to 22,977,003,541.70 pesos plus VAT. The company was left with the second lowest offer. The firm that is awarded must carry out the corresponding tasks to achieve the operation in a bidirectional sense, "allowing in all cases to download both in the main and parallel gas pipeline," said Enarsa. These modifications will increase Vaca Muertas gas transportation capacity. This is already the last tender for the project, "which is essential to bring gas from Vaca Muerta to the Argentine Northwest and thus replace the fluid that is imported from Bolivia, whose production is in decline," they explained. At the same time, the work gained prominence in recent days due to Brazils interest in importing gas from Vaca Muerta, with the Gas Pipeline Reversal being a key piece for the routes being evaluated. The president of Energía Argentina, Juan Carlos Doncel Jones, and the vice president, Roberto Mejía Aravena, participated in the event in which the economic proposals were known. Also present were Ximena Valle, Director of Legal, and Horacio Amartino, Director of the Gas Pipeline Execution Unit, as well as representatives of the construction companies. The project complements the construction of the 122-kilometer Federal Integration Gasduct between Tío Pujio and La Carlota, as well as a loop (parallel laying) to the 62-kilometer Northern Gasduct, which are already under construction. The UTE Techint Sacde was awarded 100 kilometers of the gas pipeline, while the remaining 22 are being built by BTU, both partners in the work of the President Néstor Kirchner Gasduct. «The Reversion of the Northern Gas Pipeline, whose completion is scheduled for the end of winter of this year, will allow gas from Vaca Muerta to be transported to Córdoba, Tucumán, La Rioja, Catamarca, Santiago del Estero, Salta and Jujuy, for the generation of electrical energy , the supply of homes and industries and the large-scale development of new activities, such as lithium mining," Enarsa highlighted.
