Located in the province of Mendoza, it is a project of the energy company Genneia. The Argentine Secretary of Energy, Eduardo Rodríguez Chirillo, has authorized, through the signing of Resolution 42/2024, the entry as a generating agent of the Wholesale Electricity Market (MEM) to the company Genneia for its 100 MW Los Molles photovoltaic park, located four km north of the city of Malargüe, province of Mendoza. Therefore, the plant is authorized to serve the Argentine Interconnection System (SADI) “by sectioning the 132 kV High Voltage Line Malargüe – Post Rojas, jurisdiction of the Mendoza Electricity Distribution Company (Edemsa)”, as added . Last November, Los Molles had obtained approval of the environmental impact study from the Ministry of Environment and Territorial Planning of the province of Mendoza. It was in February of this year when Genneia requested access to connect to the plants SADI. According to information from the energy company, Los Molles consists of 161,472 bifacial photovoltaic panels, deployed on a 312-hectare plot of land, totaling an installed power of 90 MW, which is expected to produce 263 thousand MWh per year. In November last year, the energy company achieved the sale of the 11th Green Negotiable Obligation for a total of 15 million dollars . At the beginning of last March, it announced the placement of two Green Negotiable Obligations (ON) for an amount equivalent to 33 million dollars , exceeding its initial objective, set at 10 million of that currency. Last February, Genneia put the 60 MW Tocota III solar park into operation in the province of San Juan , with which the company claims to exceed 1 GW of installed capacity, from a portfolio now made up of four solar parks and seven wind. As stated in a statement at the time, this portfolio comprised 19% of the total installed renewable power in Argentina, “made up of 21% of wind energy generation and 12% of solar energy.” |
