Alpex Solar Limited, a prominent player in India’s solar systems manufacturing sector, has recently secured significant orders from the Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA) for the supply, installation, and commissioning of 500 solar water pumping systems. This development comes as part of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan Yojana (PM-KUSUM Scheme), underlining Alpex Solar’s growing influence in the renewable energy market.
In addition to this achievement, the Greater Noida-based company also announced earlier in March that it had received orders worth Rs 43.70 crore in Haryana, further under the PM-KUSUM scheme. Moreover, Alpex Solar is listed and approved for the installation of solar water pumps in Rajasthan, showcasing its expanding footprint across Indian states.
Alpex Solar manufactures a wide range of photovoltaic (PV) modules, including advanced technologies like monocrystalline, polycrystalline, bifacial, mono-perc, and Halfcut solar PV modules. The company’s offerings extend beyond manufacturing to include comprehensive solar energy solutions, such as engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for AC/DC solar pumps in both surface and submersible categories.
Ashwani Sehgal, the Managing Director of Alpex Solar Limited, expressed that the new order from JREDA exemplifies the company’s commitment to prioritizing the solar water pumps business and its ambition to lead the market in this segment. He highlighted the potential of solar pumps in transforming rural economies by promoting sustainable development and enhancing agricultural productivity. This aligns with the goals of the PM-KUSUM scheme, which aims to bolster energy security for farmers and contribute to India’s target of achieving a 40% non-fossil-fuel power capacity by 2030.
Additionally, Alpex Solar’s strategic expansion includes acquiring approximately 7 acres of land in Mathura from the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) for Rs 15.04 crore. This site is earmarked for a new manufacturing facility for solar panels and modules, signaling further growth for Alpex Solar in the renewable energy sector. |
