Bharti Airtel, a prominent player in Indias telecommunications sector, has unveiled its latest initiative to enhance network connectivity in Vadodara district. The telecommunications giant announced the deployment of additional sites in the district to bolster its network infrastructure.
The expansion project in Vadodara encompasses 320 villages, catering to a population base of 4.25 lakh. Residents in tehsils such as Vadodara, Savli, Padra, Vaghodia, and Karjan will directly benefit from this network expansion. The initiative aims to provide seamless access to high-speed connectivity, ensuring reliable mobile networks for work, study, and entertainment in rural areas of Vadodara.
In a demonstration of its commitment to the state, Airtel has doubled down on investments this year to enhance network connectivity, offering a seamless experience on 4G, 5G, broadband, and fiber services.
The rural expansion project extends beyond Vadodara, covering fifteen districts in Gujarat, including Bharuch, Gandhinagar, Mehsana, Banaskantha, Surat, Ahmedabad, Kheda, Bhavnagar, Botad, Anand, Rajkot, Morbi, Vadodara, Sabarkantha, and Patan. This initiative is expected to positively impact over 50 lakh people across these districts.
Airtels rural expansion project is part of a nationwide effort to augment network connectivity in 60,000 villages by 2024. Gujarat holds significant importance as a focus market for the company, with plans to enhance network coverage across 7,000 villages, spanning the entire state.
In addition to expanding its network footprint, Airtel has also increased its fiber presence in Gujarat, deploying additional capacities to meet the growing demand for high-speed data services. This strategic move aims to enhance network capacity and extend services to rural and unconnected areas. Airtels network now encompasses all key urban, semi-urban, and rural areas, including highways, tourist destinations, and trade centers in the region. |
