Work Detail Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli convened on Sunday with Nasser Fawzi, the head of the National Center for Planning State Land Use, to deliberate on several key projects aimed at advancing Egypt’s energy sector. During the meeting, Fawzi presented plans for the allocation of land to facilitate the execution of various initiatives in the realm of electricity generation and the development of new and renewable energy sources. Notably, discussions centered on the progress made in green hydrogen production projects initiated between 2022 and the present. Among the highlights were discussions surrounding the allocation of approximately 40 thousand square kilometers of land designated for projects pertaining to new and renewable energy. Specifically, four plots situated both east and west of the Nile, along with an additional six plots located to the west of Sohag and Aswan, were earmarked for these ventures. Additionally, attention was directed towards the ongoing establishment of a global green information center and a solar energy station in Zafarana. Furthermore, plans for the implementation of projects focused on green hydrogen production in Ras Gharib and Hurghada, as well as the development of a solar energy station equipped with a battery storage system in Naga Hammadi, Qena, were closely monitored. The meeting underscored the government’s unwavering commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions and accelerating the nation’s transition towards a greener and more resilient future.
