Danish turbine manufacturer to deliver units for wind farms in Sweden and South Korea
Vestas has secured two turbine contract awards for projects in Sweden and South Korea, signalling the start of the usual end-quarter order rush.
The Danish manufacturer has received an order from Eolus for the Fågelås, Boarp and Dållebo projects in Sweden.
The wind farms consist of seven V162-6.2 MW delivered in power mode 6.4MW, four V162-6.2MWs and four V150-4.5 MWs, respectively, and include supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines.
Upon completion, Vestas will service the turbines under a long-term agreement.
Turbine delivery is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2025 with commissioning scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Vestas has meanwhile secured a 77MW order with GS E&R for the YD1 wind farm in Gyeongsang-do, South Korea.
The order includes supply and supervision of installation of 18 of V136-4.2 MW wind turbines delivered in 4.3MW operating mode.
Delivery of the turbines will begin in first quarter of 2025, with commissioning scheduled for 2026.
