Procurement News Notice

PNN 62948
Work Detail The Danish Energy Agency has approved the feasibility study report, which includes an environmental impact report, for Thor Offshore Wind Farm. The approval from the Danish Energy Agency for the feasibility study report does not grant the project developer, Thor Wind Farm, owned by RWE, the right to construct the offshore wind farm. However, it provides RWE with the opportunity to apply for an establishment permit. The Danish Energy Agency will make a final decision on whether an establishment permit can be granted for the project after conducting a public hearing on the developers application. If applicable, the hearing is expected to start in early April. Thor Offshore Wind Farm will have an installed nominal output of 1000MW and will consist of 72 offshore wind turbines, a transformer platform, and associated submarine cables. The preliminary study area covers approximately 286 square kilometers. The wind turbines will be situated 22 kilometers from the west coast of Jutland, Denmark.
