Prime Minister Narendra Modi commenced a significant milestone on Monday by inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for 112 National Highway (NH) projects nationwide, including the monumental Dwarka Expressway, valued at over ?1 lakh crore in Gurugram.
The projects encompass development endeavors spanning across various states, including Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, West Bengal, Bihar, Maharashtra, Punjab, and Rajasthan, heralding progress in all corners of the nation.
During the inauguration of the Haryana section of the transformative Dwarka Expressway, PM Modi expressed his delight, envisioning a paradigm shift in travel experiences between Delhi and Haryana. He emphasized that this infrastructure marvel will not only revolutionize vehicular travel but also significantly impact the lives of the regions residents.
A key focus of the Prime Ministers address was on the vital role of such initiatives in uplifting millions out of poverty and propelling India to become the fifth-largest global economy. He projected Indias rapid infrastructure development as a catalyst propelling it to become the worlds third-largest economic power.
Among the major projects inaugurated by PM Modi are the six-lane Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) Package 3 in Delhi, Lucknow Ring Road in Uttar Pradesh, Anandapuram-Pendurthi-Anakapalli section of NH16 in Andhra Pradesh, and Kiratpur to Nerchowk section of NH-21 in Himachal Pradesh.
Additionally, several significant projects are slated for foundation stone laying, including packages of the Bengaluru-Kadapa-Vijayawada Expressway in Andhra Pradesh, Belgaum-Hungund-Raichur section of NH-748A in Karnataka, and Shamli-Ambala Highway in Haryana.
PM Modi underscored the remarkable pace of project implementation, highlighting that within the first three months of 2024, projects worth over ?10 lakh crore have either been dedicated to the nation or have had their foundation stone laid, showcasing a remarkable stride towards nationwide progress. |
