In a statement, it is stated that “brine-rich formations have been found in areas not previously drilled,” and that the “drilling results allow us to foresee a significant potential increase in resources.” Technically, it is specified that the ARDDH-08 well has been drilled to a depth of 606 meters with a sandy formation rich in brine found at 200 meters. The checks have shown that “at 50 meters, grades of 180 mg/l Li were found” and that “at 200 meters, a grade of 690 mg/l of L was found.” According to the companys president and CEO, Steve Cochrane, “the results of this new survey represent an important step in our strategic roadmap, which brings us closer to maximizing the full potential of our deposits.” “We are confident in the potential of the Arizaro project to become a world-class lithium carbonate producer, and we are energized by the promise of continued progress,” he added. Lithium Chile was awarded 8,445 hectares in the Arizaro salt flat, in Salta, Argentina through a public bidding process in which 13 companies competed. According to the mining company, this concession is strategically located north of the 20,800 hectare project it owns in the Arizaro basin and which has already been explored by the company.
