The Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) has reported significant progress in the construction of a unique multipurpose coaching hub in Pratapnagar, with work proceeding at full pace, according to an RHB official.
Planned in two phases across an area of 67,000 square meters, the hub aims to accommodate approximately 70,000 students. The first phase includes five towers, while three additional towers are slated for the second phase. Each floor of the institutional building will offer 5,000 to 14,000 square feet of carpet area, earmarked for sale to coaching institutions.|
In the initial phase, 70 out of 140 units have been allocated to various educational institutions, while 53 of the 90 commercial units, along with two residential and one mixed unit, have been allotted. The construction also includes facilities such as a long tennis court, amphitheater, lawn, and central library, catering to the needs of students under the coaching hub scheme.
Additionally, the RHB is prioritizing quality housing for various segments, including the low-income group. RHB Commissioner Kumar Pal Gautam has indicated that schemes for approximately 3,000 houses and flats have commenced under the state governments 100-day action plan. Engineers have been instructed to develop action plans, particularly focusing on the needy sections, across all areas of the state, especially divisional headquarters.
Established in 1970, the RHB operates as an autonomous body, addressing the housing needs in Rajasthan. Over the years, its turnover has surpassed Rs. 8,000 crore, with the sale of more than 14,500 houses in the last five years alone. |
