In 2023, 25 solar projects came into commercial operation in Colombia, representing a total of 207 MW, bringing technology to 486 MW, 2.4% of the countrys generation matrix, according to a report from the operator of the national network of Colombia XM Company of Market Experts.
In total, 32 generation projects were launched last year, for a total installed capacity of 1,142 MW.
In addition to the solar projects mentioned, four hydroelectric projects, totaling 642 MW, and three thermal projects, totaling 293 MW, came into commercial operation.
As a whole, the installed capacity in Colombia reaches 19,919 MW in its generation matrix.
As renewable generation, 18 MW of wind must be added to the 486 MW of photovoltaics (0.1% of the matrix).
It should be added that there are 15 renewable generation projects in testing, of which two are wind (32 MW) and 13 solar (1,101 MW). |
