On Tuesday, Governor Osvaldo Jaldo led a work meeting with the deputy president of the Legislature, Sergio Mansilla; the mayor of Aguilares, Gimena Mansilla, and the national deputy, Elia Fernández de Mansilla. The main focus of the meeting was the paralysis "that has begun to be noticed in public works," said Jaldo and announced that he will travel to the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires to ask the national government for details on the issue.
One of the main uncertainties of the Aguilares authorities, they stated at the meeting, revolves around the Frías Silva School, paralyzed after being demolished by a national project. «It was planned to have it at least in condition by March, or very close to finishing it. But today, unfortunately, it is not being executed at the pace at which it should be executed, due to the lack of resources," the Governor said in dialogue with the press.
Along these lines, he explained that "in many places in the province there are works paralyzed, others that have slowed physical progress, and works that remained in the bidding process."
For this reason, the President announced his trip to Buenos Aires in search of details about these works to plan continuity strategies. «Tomorrow in the Federal Capital we are going to talk about the resources of the province, the public works plan. We want the National Government to begin to give clear signals, to begin to tell us what works we will be able to continue and what works we will not," he said.
And he added: «Tomorrow we are going to try, with other governors as well, to ask for details to know how we are going to be able to work in this first quarter. We do not talk about the entire year because we know that today there are macroeconomic variables that are not defined, that we depend on the outside, on refinancing from the IMF.
For her part, the mayor stated that she is waiting for information from the National Government to define the future of the emblematic school of Aguilares.
At the meeting, according to Mansilla, preparations for the carnival festivities in Aguilares, highlighted for their cultural relevance, were also discussed. The mayor confirmed that they will be held like every year: without alcohol and free for all visitors.
In another area, Jaldo was informed about the progressive opening of the Municipal Inn that was inaugurated at the end of last year. "The part of the hall for cultural events is operational, and the hotel part will soon be available once pending procedures are completed," Mansilla explained. |
