Public Works of the Nation and National Highways put out to tender the construction of the new infrastructure on National Route 12 km 1,132. The work will be awarded on December 28, 2023 and the Nation will invest $363,929,966. The new bridge will be 60 meters long and 15 meters wide. During construction, they will place a bailey bridge so as not to disrupt traffic.
This Friday, November 17, the National Highway Directorate opened the public tender for the construction of the new bridge on the Baí stream on National Route 12 kilometer 1132, near the Yahapé area, about 50 kilometers after Itatí and 35 kilometers before reaching Berón. from Astrada.
The work will be awarded on December 28 at 10 a.m. through the CONTRAT.AR platform. The National State will invest $363,929,966 to build the new bridge that will replace the current culvert, which at the time suffered damage and proved to have limitations in allowing a large flow of water to pass - towards the Paraná River - in periods of intense rain.
The Head of District 10 of VN explained that the work “is part of the Plan for the Adaptation of Works of Art of RN 12 in the province of Corrientes”, whose works projects are ready, the tenders and their financing “will be finalized in the next few months" .
“The term of the work will be 12 months and during construction, National Highways will place a bailey bridge so as not to interrupt traffic on National Route 12,” the official completed.
According to the technical specifications, the new viaduct will have a total length of 60 meters - in three sections of 20 meters - that will cross the stream that will be channeled at that point. A total width of 14.90 meters that includes: paved road 7.30 meters wide, two paved shoulders of 3 meters each (6 meters in total) and a pedestrian path.
In total, it will have a circulation platform of 12.30 meters limited by concrete vehicle defenses. It includes a concrete defense with a New Jersey type profile and the construction of a pedestrian path with a width of 1.20 meters with railings.
