The Eiffage consortium has won a EUR2.54 billion (US$2.7 billion) deal to design and build a section of line 15 East of the Grand Paris Express project in France.
The agreement encompasses the excavation of a 17 km tunnel, the creation of 15 interconnected rail structures, and two entrance structures. It involves the installation of railway tracks, path amenities, and various systems, including high and low-voltage systems and electromechanical equipment (such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, smoke extraction, and fire safety) in stations, tunnels, and associated rail structures. The project also entails the construction of six new stations: Bobigny - Pablo Picasso, Pont de Bondy, Bondy, Rosny Bois-Perrier, Val de Fontenay, and Nogent - Le Perreux. Additionally, the consortium will oversee development activities for the dedicated section of Champigny Centre station for Line 15 East, as well as the establishment of an operations center in Rosny-sous-Bois and two property development projects in Bondy and Le Perreux.
Eiffages subsidiary, Eiffage Génie Civil, will collaborate with eight architectural firms, including Architecturestudio, Ar.thème Associés, fbcc, BIG-Silvio D’ASCIA Architecture consortium, LA/BA, VIGUIER, and Wilmotte & Associés, for the design and construction of the line segment between Bobigny - Pablo Picasso and Champigny Centre stations. Following a 15-month design phase, the construction work is scheduled to commence, with the aim of completion and commissioning by 2031.
Construction of Line 15 has been split into two phases. Construction of the southern part of the line from Pont de Sèvres to Noisy-Champs started in 2015 and is expected to be opened to the public in 2025. The east and west sections of the line are expected to be opened to the public at the end of 2031. |
