Empresas Públicas de Medellín de Colombia (EPM) has announced the installation in the Unicentro Cúcuta shopping center of a photovoltaic system with a capacity of 777 kWp, located in the city of Cúcuta, capital of the department of Norte de Santander, and presented as the largest in its kind.
The installation consists of 1,426 solar panels that will generate 982 MWh per year and will serve to replace the current energy consumption of the common areas of the shopping center by 33.82% during the 20 years of the contract.
EPM also announced the installation of a solar solution at the Comfanorte school, in the same city, which includes 207 solar panels, which are expected to generate 80 MWh per year and replace the institutions energy consumption by 50.24%. during the 20 years of validity of the contract.
The Colombian energy company claims to have 355 personalized active solutions for homes and companies, a service that includes the design, supply, installation and maintenance of the photovoltaic system.
Among the business clients of this offer are: SENA (Leticia, Santa Marta and Quibdó), Dinissan (Cali), Armenia Hotel (Armenia) and in Antioquia: the Pascual Bravo University Institution, Lasallista University Corporation, Orientex, Alcubo, CI El Globo, Coopebombas, Inmobiliaria ZM, Mujer Latina, Tostados Susanita, Samara Cosmetics, Dispro, Aguas Regionales EPM, Colombus and Inmobiliaria Paisas, as well as 300 homes.
It also declares 78 approved solutions focused on large energy consumers (facilities with consumption greater than 50 thousand kWh/month), which add up to a total capacity of 47 MWp.
Among the clients with these characteristics are: Productos Alimenticios Doria, Hino Motors Manufacturing Colombia, University of Antioquia, San Pedro Plaza shopping center, Incolmotos, Tennis Golf Club, the Colombian Air Force, Grupo BIOS, Avinal, Comfama and Distrito de Medellín. |
