Work Detail Energy Technology Development and Demonstration Program awards green technology funding The Energy Technology Development and Demonstration Program (EUDP) has awarded green technology grants, including for floating wind projects. The grants totalling DKK316.38m (€42m) will also promote technologies that will reduce asphalts CO2 footprint, convert biological residues and develop liquid wind and wave system. Minister for Climate, Energy and Supply Lars Aagaard said: "With new energy technology comes new opportunities for both the green transition and Danish companies - and it is a number of exciting energy technology projects that this year will receive support from the EUDP. "Among other things, support is on the way for projects on floating wind turbines and more climate-friendly asphalt, and I look forward to seeing the projects go from drawing board to reality." In the autumn, the EUDP received 88 applications for a total of DKK 925m, with 40% of the applicants have now received commitments, and around 30% of the applied for aid is paid out. Kim Lehmann, chairman of EUDPs board, said: "We have supported a number of energy projects of both different sizes and character - all with great potential to make a positive difference to the climate, growth and employment. "I look forward to seeing the projects unfold and create jobs and green results in various places in the energy system."
