The Bhavnagar Division of Western Railways has released an invitation for bids to establish rooftop solar power projects totalling 1.3 MW, incorporating a net metering facility.
The project scope encompasses the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of systems, each with a minimum 10 kW capacity per location. The specific locations for the installations have not been disclosed at this stage.
The selected bidder is also required to furnish a five-year warranty and provide comprehensive maintenance for the installed systems.
Bid submissions are accepted from December 13 to December 27, 2023, with the bid opening scheduled for the final day of the submission period.
The stipulated timeline for project completion is six months from the issuance of the work order.
The tender’s advertised value is ?6.364 crores.
Bidders are obligated to submit an earnest money deposit of ?468,000 and must possess a valid electrical contractor license to participate in the tender.
To qualify, bidders must meet one of the following criteria within the last seven years: (i) successfully completed three similar works, each costing no less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, or (ii) accomplished two similar works, each costing no less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, or (iii) executed one similar work costing no less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender.
Additionally, bidders must demonstrate a minimum average annual contractual turnover. This is calculated by dividing the advertised value of the tender by the prescribed number of years for completing the work. The average annual contractual turnover is computed as the average of ‘total contractual payments’ over the last three financial years. |
