Eight offers for the construction of the national route 16 highway from the Makallé tollbooth to the access to La Escondida The work will have an official amount of $9,573,560,000.00 The Ministry of Public Works of the Nation, through National Roads, reported that the call for National Public Tender No. 46-0188-LPU23 was opened for the work of Road Duplication and repaving of the existing road of the Route National Route N°16, from the Makallé tollbooth (Km 59.82) to the junction with Provincial Route N°9 (Km 74.74), at the access to La Escondida. With an official amount of $9,573,560,000.00, eight companies presented their proposals: AUTOVIA BS AS A LOS ANDES SA; ICF SA; BRIALES SA; PLANTEL SA; SEMI. SA; JCR SA; CENTRO CONSTRUCCIONES SA and ROVIAL SA. The work The planned duplication will transform the current two-lane undivided road configuration into a four-lane highway, two in each direction of travel, thus giving continuity to the duplication works of the Resistencia – Makallé Toll section, inaugurated in 2014 and 2018 (first and second section, respectively). The project is complemented by the resurfacing of the existing roadway to provide two roadways with similar service levels and useful life and, in optimal conditions; the lighting of the returns; the complete vertical and horizontal marking of the section; the installation of safety barriers and the adaptation of the existing drainage; in addition to interventions in the access to the town of Lapachito and at the intersection with Provincial Route No. 9. In total, the work, which has a completion period of 36 months, will be 15.42 kilometers long, and once completed it will allow improving service levels to provide speed and comfort to the large number of users who circulate through this important road that connects Chaco, Santiago del Estero and Salta and is a fundamental part of the Bioceanic Corridor, improving general logistics, generating savings in transportation times and increasing the safety of those who use it. |
